get-iplayer software package provides download/stream available BBC iPlayer TV and radio programmes, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install get-iplayer
get-iplayer is installed in your system.
Make ensure the get-iplayer package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep get-iplayer *
You will get with get-iplayer package name, version, architecture and description in a table
